Privacy Policy — CladenceViewer

CladenceViewer ("CladenceViewer", "the app") is published by CochoLabs. This policy explains how the app handles information. Short version:the app does not collect any data.

1. No data collection

CladenceViewer does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data. It contains no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising, and no third-party trackers. There are no user accounts and no sign-up.

2. Everything stays on your Mac

The usage information the app displays — your Claude token usage (input, output, cache) and estimated cost, total and per project — is read locally on your Mac from your own Claude files, with your permission, and is shown only to you, on your device. None of it is sent anywhere.

3. Access to your Claude files

To compute token usage and estimated cost, the app reads your local Claude usage logs only after you explicitly grant access through the standard macOS file picker. Access is stored as a security-scoped bookmark in the app's private local storage. The app reads these files on your Mac only; their contents never leave your computer.

4. Optional free helper ("Plan usage")

CladenceViewer can optionally display your plan usage percentages (your 5-hour session and weekly %) when you choose to install a separate, free helper app on your Mac. The helper runs entirely on your Mac and computes those percentages locally, working only with what is already stored on your machine; nothing it processes is ever transmitted to CochoLabs or any third party. The helper hands the resulting percentages to CladenceViewer over a local channel on your Mac, on your device only. The helper is optional; CladenceViewer is fully functional without it. The helper is distributed separately by CochoLabs and you install it yourself; CladenceViewer does not download or install it for you.

5. Network access

CladenceViewer itself does not contact any remote server. The only network access involved is made by the optional helper, on your Mac, and only when you choose to install it; it never sends your data to CochoLabs or any third party.

6. Children

CladenceViewer is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
