Privacy Policy — Glance: System Health

Last updated: July 2026

Glance: System Health ("Glance", "the app") is published by CochoLabs. This policy explains how the app handles information. Short version:the app does not collect any data.

1. No data collection

Glance does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data. It contains no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising, and no third-party trackers. There are no user accounts and no sign-up.

2. Everything stays on your Mac

All system information the app displays — battery, memory, CPU, storage, network throughput, thermal state, and related metrics — is read locally on your Mac using public macOS APIs and is shown only to you, on your device. None of it is sent anywhere.

3. Battery history

To show long-term battery degradation, the app stores battery readings over time in its private local container on your Mac (App Sandbox container). This data never leaves your computer and is removed if you delete the app.

4. Optional free companion ("Pro Sensors")

Glance can optionally display advanced sensor readings (such as CPU/GPU temperature and SoC power) when you choose to install a separate, free companion app on your Mac. The companion runs entirely on your Mac and no sensor data is sent off your computer. The companion is optional; Glance is fully functional without it. The companion is distributed separately by CochoLabs and you install it yourself; Glance does not download or install it for you.

5. Network access

Glance only communicates locally on your Mac to read from the optional companion. It does not contact any remote server and sends nothing over the internet.

6. Children

Glance is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children.
